Editorial Policy
How we research, write, fact-check, and maintain medically accurate, stigma-free sexual and reproductive health content.
Evidence-First
Every factual assertion is backed by peer-reviewed clinical research and consensus medical bodies.
Non-Judgmental
Medical facts delivered without shame, moralizing, or cultural stigma across all identities.
Continuously Updated
Regular reviews ensure clinical guidelines reflect current CDC, WHO, and FDA protocols.
1. Source Hierarchy & Scientific Verification
Our writers and editors adhere to a strict evidentiary hierarchy when drafting content:
- Primary Tier: Major international and governmental public health organizations (World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Health Service UK).
- Secondary Tier: Peer-reviewed systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and randomized controlled trials published in recognized medical journals (The Lancet, NEJM, JAMA, Cochrane Library).
- Tertiary Tier: Specialty clinical academies (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Academy of Pediatrics, Endocrine Society).
2. Editorial Independence & Advertising Separation
Editorial decisions are made entirely independently of commercial partnerships or advertising. Advertisers and sponsors have zero influence over what topics we cover, how our medical guides are structured, or what clinical conclusions are reached.
When a factual error or broken scientific reference is identified, our editorial desk reviews the submission within 24–48 hours and updates the guide with an explanatory note.
To submit a factual correction, email our desk directly at [email protected].
